I recently came across the following video:
Jesus "Superhero" song
I was reminded of what I saw at my old heresy-filled charasmaic church(Living Hope Christian Assembley) when they had their Christmas party and performed this song.
I almost began to cry as I saw this video, for it is great blasphemy and an offense to God.
Last time I checked God is holy, holy, holy, a consuming fire and we should not take His name lightly.
Revelation 4:8
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.
Exodus 20:7
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Psalm 139:20
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
This so called worship is actually just taking the heathen's music and christianizing it. There are many obvious things wrong in this video such as:
-The worldly, sensual dancing
-When both of the sexes dance together it is worldy(associated with sin and immorality [Ex 32:19; Job 21:7,11-12; 1Sa 30:16; Mt 14:6]), which of course is done in this video.
-Jesus has not returned yet; we are in a period of exile and thus that is why there is currently no joyful dance unto the Lord
1 John 2:15
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
-The clothing on some of the women(tight fitting; showing the figure, instead of being modest) and of course the wearing of pants on the women. This type of clothing is made to stir up lust in men, which both the women(for being a stumbling block) and the men(for the act of lust) will be held accountable for by God
1 Tim 2:9
9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
Deut 22:5
5The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
-All the lights in the background have nothing to do with worshipping God, but rather just to appeal to the flesh
Rom 13:14
14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
-There are some strange people dressed in costumes(Oh I forgot that the Bible was too boring for children, I guess children in the early church and thereafter weren't able to pay attention...[Note the sarcasm])
We are to be different than the world; peculiar.
1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
2 Cor 6:17
17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Notice the following verse doesn't have "excluding children" in it:
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
In other words God's Word can speak to children to...
-The music is primarly drum-like beats; in other words made to appeal to the flesh
1 Peter 2:11
11Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
-They are using electric guitars, which of course historically are founded on rebellion
Jer 6:16
16Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
-Everyone is dressed casually, instead of dressing unto the Lord, they have dressed to be comfortable; to appeal to the flesh
Lev 20:26
26And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
Now lets get into the blasphemous lyrics:

I don't see Jesus being revealed to us as a superhero in the Bible. A superhero is a thing of the world. The comparisons to other superheros is even worse; they lyrics might as well say:
Better than dirt
Better than manure
Better than poison
Better than rotten fish
Ridiculous you say? Not anymore ridiculous than comparing the Lord, Jesus, Christ to some imaginary superheros, some occultic card game/television show and some scantily dressed doll.
Imagine a very wealthy man going up to you and sincerely saying I have a special gift for you. He continues on to say that he has prayed much about it and really wants you to enjoy this gift. What gift does he give you? A penny. One measley penny, but oh he gives it to you sincerely with a smile. Does that thus make it a well gift for you to receive? No it does not!
In the same way what do you think God considers of so-called worship when you compare the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to things that are worthless?
1 Timothy 6:15
Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
If you have any knowledge of some of the great revival preachers of the past; such as Wesley, Whitefield, Spurgeon, Moody, Brainerd and etc. Imagine seeing these revival preachers at this "rock concert." Imagine the apostle Paul or even the Lord Jesus Christ there.(Oh wait the Lord does see all this blasphemy) Could you imagine them dancing like that and approving of the lights and so on? I think not. I would estimate that they would even show a righteous anger and cleanse the place of all the worldly things, or perhaps fall on their knees in tears; weeping, wondering how professing Christians how fallen so far!
Please pray for those involved in this blasphemy, oh that the Lord would have mercy on their souls! That they would be a Berean and prove all things, oh that they would see their wrong and repent of it.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Acts 17:10,11
10And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
